About Radio City
The history of Slovenian radio in the first years after independence was extremely eventful. Since its foundation in 1995, Radio City has retained its cult status as the most listened-to radio programme in north-eastern Slovenia, despite a large number of new radio stations. Not only its significantly higher listenership compared to its pursuers, but also this unique unbroken tradition set Radio City apart from the rest.
For years, Radio City has been the most listened to radio in northeastern Slovenia.
Radio reach measurements prove these claims. The data speak of the listenership of the main target group of commercial radio listeners, i.e. the population in the broadcast range aged between 15 and 59 years. In particular, these are more active and dynamic residents, with higher personal household incomes.
Radio listenership is an extremely important indicator. This is particularly true for commercial radio stations, where advertising is an essential part of the funding. Measurements show, that Radio City is by far the most listened to radio programme in northeastern Slovenia not only currently but for many years.
